Delivery and Collection

Our shipping options

Solent Growers offers two options: Local Pickup in the New Forest, and a Flat Rate* across England and Wales. Select your option at Checkout.  Please note, due to its nature certain stock is only available for collection.

Local Pick up (collection)

There is no cost for local pickup (collection) and you will be notified of the relevant nursery location in Lymington once your order has been placed and payment has completed.  We know you’re busy, so collection is open 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 3pm. If you need help with collection times, please email [email protected] and include your telephone number – we are here to help with any questions or queries you may have and will try to work around your schedule.

Flat Rate across England and Wales

Our Flat Rate is only £90 for a pallet across England and Wales. You can select this delivery option at Checkout.  We will fit as much as we can on a pallet – as a guide this is up to approximately 13 x 25 litre plants or 30 x 12 litre plants. Delivery will commence once payment has been received.

Once you have submitted your order, we will telephone you to arrange a suitable delivery date.  This can usually be within 48 hours if required.

The following FAQs are to support our customers with any queries or concerns regarding pallet delivery.

Q. How will we deliver your pallet?

A. We deliver by 3rd party couriers (usually by large lorry approx. the same size as a dust cart).  We only offer curbside delivery and we cannot remove packaging/pallets from your property (we ask that customers recycle packaging responsibly).  However, the driver will do their very best to get your delivery to the nearest curbside to your house.  It is your responsibility to unpack and transport the pallet from here. 

Q. Will the driver need assistance at the delivery point?

A. Delivery vehicles are fitted with tail lifts and pallet trucks to assist with delivery.  When the driver cannot use the tail lift they will need assistance to lift heavy items off the vehicle as we ONLY have one person per vehicle.

Q. Do I have to be home to accept and sign for my delivery?

A. Yes.  You will need to be home to receive your delivery.  We will call to arrange the delivery date with you once we receive your order.  If you wish to change your delivery date, we require 48 hours notice before the date you had previously given us.  We will then to re-arrange a new date.
